GREEN TRADESHOW 2009 -
A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!
The 2009 Green Tradeshow was held on Saturday May 2, 2009 and had approximately 700 people in attendance. The event had 55 exhibitor tables in total and offered BBQ food provided by the Navy League and an area for kids activities. The products, services, and general information displayed encompassed the many shades of green including: alternate energy, fuel efficient vehicles, energy auditing, composting, bio-economy, green education, healthy living and environmentally friendly activities. Door prizes were provided by vendors and Hydro One graciously gave away 400 free compact fluourescent lightbulbs at the Arena entrance.
Special Note: 10 large boxes of food donations were raised for the North Shore Harvest Food Cupboard and a portion of the admission fees will be donated as well. Financial donations were also raised by the Navy League, Catholic Womens League, and the Kids Corral Centre.
The planning committee would like to thank all of the exhibitors for their hardwork in developing their displays and the energy they brought to the event.
